Šturec (1,075 m a.s.l.) is a forested peak in Slovakia's Veľká Fatra mountains, sitting quietly above the Veľký Šturec pass. It may not offer panoramic views, but it rewards visitors with a sense of stepping into history — an ancient mountain trade route linking Liptov and Pohroní runs right beneath its summit.

The peak is covered in dense forest all the way to the top, creating a sheltered, atmospheric walk rather than a dramatic summit experience. The terrain is gentle and the trails are well-marked, making it a pleasant outing in any season. In summer the forest canopy provides welcome shade, while winter brings a hushed, snow-draped beauty to the trees lining the path.
