Štrochy (1,386 m a.s.l.) is a peaceful summit in the Veľká Fatra mountains of Slovakia, sitting quietly at the end of a short western ridge that branches off from the higher Ostredok (1,592 m). It is the kind of place that rewards those who venture slightly off the main ridge — with solitude, protected nature, and a genuine sense of wild mountain landscape.

The terrain here blends forested mountain slopes with karst rock formations, and the north-western part of the peak falls within the Biela skala Nature Reserve, established in 1993 over an area of 185 hectares. The reserve is home to a rich variety of protected plant species and notable karst features. The valleys of Vrátna to the north and Dedošová to the west and south frame the mountain beautifully, making the surroundings feel enclosed and intimate. In autumn the beech forests turn golden, while spring brings rare wildflowers to the reserve.
