Štefanová (1,305 m) is a peaceful forested summit in the central part of Veľká Fatra, sitting on the main ridge trail known as the Veľkofatranská Magistrála. It may not offer wide open panoramas, but its charm lies in the calm of the beech forest and those rare clearings where the surrounding peaks suddenly reveal themselves.

The summit forms part of the Turiec branch of the main ridge, running between Lysec to the north and Javorína to the south. The landscape is predominantly wooded, making it a wonderful destination in autumn when the forest turns golden, or in summer when the dense canopy offers welcome shade. On clear days, small viewpoints along the ridge give glimpses of Malá Fatra, the Nízke Tatry massif, Kubínska hoľa, Veľký Choč, and even Babia hora. This is a summit for hikers who love a long, rhythmic ridge walk rather than a dramatic rocky ascent.

The Veľkofatranská Magistrála, one of Slovakia's finest long-distance ridge trails, passes directly over the summit — making Štefanová a natural waypoint on a longer traverse of this beautiful national park.
