Słonny (668 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the Słonne Mountains and the crowning point of the entire Sanocko-Turczańskie range. While the wooded summit offers no sweeping panoramas, the ridge walk leading up to it is a quiet, rewarding adventure through one of the least-visited corners of the Polish Eastern Carpathians.

The peak is actually made up of two closely spaced summits — the north-western and south-eastern Słonny — stretching along the main ridge of the Słonne Mountains. Its slopes fall south-westward toward the San river valley and the village of Manasterzec, and north-eastward toward the Borsukowiec stream valley and the village of Rakowa. Dense mixed forest blankets the summit year-round: refreshingly cool in summer, brilliantly colourful in autumn, and quietly magical under winter snow. The lack of open viewpoints is more than made up for by the deep forest atmosphere and the sense of genuine solitude.
