Słodna is a quiet, cone-shaped peak sitting right on the Polish-Czech border, offering something rare in the busier corners of the Sudetes — real solitude, dense spruce forest, and a scattering of curious rock formations along its slope.

The mountain is almost entirely covered by a spruce monoculture typical of the lower montane zone, so don't expect sweeping panoramic views from the top — instead, you get an atmospheric, forested hike that feels especially magical in autumn mist or under a blanket of winter snow. Around 770 meters on the north-western slope, keep an eye out for a small group of distinctive melaphyre rock outcrops worth a short detour. The slopes themselves are fairly steep, so the climb takes a bit of stamina, though nothing technical is required.
