Skalka (1,981 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the Low Tatras of Slovakia, rising in a lateral ridge above the village of Dolná Lehota. Its open, rocky crest and commanding height make it a fantastic viewpoint that feels surprisingly unspoiled.

The peak forms part of a ridge running southward from Kotliská (1,937 m) on the main Low Tatras crest. The grassy-rocky summit ridge offers an unobstructed 360-degree panorama — on clear days you can pick out the High Tatras, the Malá and Veľká Fatra ranges, the Choč Hills, the Orava Beskids, and more distant ranges such as Javorie and the Štiavnica Hills. In summer the ridge is carpeted with alpine herbs; autumn brings vivid colours, and winter transforms it into a snowy, more demanding outing.

• The entire massif is protected as the Skalka National Nature Reserve — stay on marked trails at all times.
• The area falls within the Low Tatras National Park (NAPANT).

The marked trail crossing the summit links Dolná Lehota with Kotliská, making Skalka a natural and satisfying waypoint on longer traverses of the Low Tatras main ridge.
