Skalite (864 m a.s.l.) is a neat, dome-shaped peak in the Barania Góra and Skrzyczne Range, forming a short northeastern spur off Skrzyczne — the highest summit in the Silesian Beskids. It may not have its own marked trails, but its forested slopes and wild, peaceful character make it a rewarding detour for curious hikers.

The peak drops steeply on all sides — towards Dolny Szczyrk to the northwest, Buczkowice to the west, and Godziszka to the north. On the southeastern flank, a cluster of old shepherd's clearings survives as a reminder of the area's pastoral past. The forests here bear the marks of windstorms and logging, giving the landscape a raw, untamed feel. In spring and autumn, mist drifting through the trees creates a wonderfully moody Beskid atmosphere.

At the northwestern foot of Skalite, in Dolny Szczyrk, you will find the well-known ski jumping complex that shares the peak's name — Skalite. The saddle called 'Siodło' separates Skalite from the neighbouring Skrzyczne.
