Równica (884 m a.s.l.) is one of the most rewarding and accessible peaks in the Silesian Beskids — a mountain that welcomes hikers of all levels while delivering sweeping views, beech forest trails, and a genuine mountain atmosphere. With a historic shelter, easy road access, and well-marked trails converging at the summit, it makes for a perfect day out in southern Poland.

The slopes are cloaked in beech and mixed forests that turn spectacular shades of gold and red in autumn. From the summit and nearby clearings, you can enjoy a wide panorama of the Silesian Beskids, taking in peaks such as Czantoria Wielka, Skrzyczne, Barania Góra, Malinowska Skała, and Soszów Wielki. In summer the trails are lively and green; in winter a quiet blanket of snow transforms the mountain into a peaceful retreat.

• The PTTK mountain shelter, open since 1928 and sitting at 758 m a.s.l., offers food, drinks, and a warm rest stop on the way up.
• A GOPR (mountain rescue) station is based inside the shelter.
• The summit is reachable by car via an asphalt road from Ustroń — parking and snack bars are available near the shelter.
• On the red trail from Ustroń, near a spot called 'the Stone', you can find a historic 'forest church' — an open-air Protestant worship site used during religious persecutions in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The name 'Równica' comes from the remarkably flat, nearly level ridge section stretching about 1 km southeast of the summit — a distinctive feature visible from both Ustroń Polana and Brenna, and already recorded in documents as far back as 1566.
