Przednia Kopa Sołtysia is the lowest and northernmost peak in the Kopy Sołtysie group within the sub-alpine belt of the High Tatras. It's not a summit that will win height records, but its branching ridge and grassy clearings make for a peaceful hike away from the crowds.

The peak acts as a hub where no fewer than five ridges radiate outward, separated by gullies and small valleys dropping toward the Sucha Woda Valley — named Podspad, Świniarski Żleb, Koziarski Żleb, Broniarski Żleb and Jarząbczak. Most of the slopes are cloaked in dense spruce forest, but the summit itself and the slopes descending south toward Przednia Przełęcz Sołtysia (saddle) are grassy, opening up views toward the neighboring Średnia Kopa Sołtysia. On the southeastern shoulder you'll find two charming grassy clearings — Sołtysia Płaśnia and Sołtysie Szałasiska — remnants of a former pastoral hut settlement. In summer this is a place of quiet and the scent of mountain grass; in winter, a secluded corner of the sub-alpine forest.

The name of the whole mountain group comes from the old sołtys (village headman) pastoral huts, and the branching ridge of Przednia Kopa Sołtysia still bears traces of this pastoral past in its grassy clearings hidden among the forest.
