Prašivá (842 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids that combines easy accessibility with a genuine mountain atmosphere and a surprising slice of history. Whether you arrive by bus or train, this ridge walk offers beautiful landscapes, forest trails, and a charming historic chapel waiting at the lower peak.

The ridge of Prašivá begins at Malá Prašivá (706 m a.s.l.) and continues onward toward Čupel (872 m a.s.l.), giving walkers a pleasant traverse through typical Beskid scenery. The slopes feed the streams Lučina and Račok, and the southern flanks drain into the Hlisník basin. The area is enjoyable in every season — lush and green in summer, brilliantly coloured in autumn, and quietly beautiful under winter snow.

• A tourist chalet on Malá Prašivá, built in 1921, offers a great rest stop along the way.
• Next to the chalet stands the Chapel of St. Anthony of Padua (originally dedicated to St. Ignatius of Loyola), dating back to 1640.
• The main path up is known as 'Olšákova cesta' (Olšák's Road), named after a notary from Frýdek who served as the second manager of the mountain chalet.

The little chapel on Malá Prašivá has stood here since 1640 — making it one of the oldest sacred monuments in this part of the Beskids and giving this otherwise modest summit a quietly remarkable depth of character.
