Pisana Hala (1044 m a.s.l.) is a peaceful ridge summit in the Jaworzyna Krynicka Range of the Beskid Sądecki mountains, offering open views to the east and south. It is the kind of place that rewards those who slow down — a wide mountain meadow gradually being reclaimed by blueberry heaths and forest, with a quiet, unhurried atmosphere.
The former grazing pasture has been left to nature for decades, and the transformation is beautiful. Blueberry shrubs carpet the ground, young spruces push through the grass, and along the trail stands a remarkable row of Swiss stone pines, planted here on the orders of Count Adam Stadnicki of Nawojowa — an unusual sight for the Beskids. In summer the clearing is sunny and calm, perfect for a rest with a view; in autumn the heaths glow red and gold; in winter the snowy ridge frames distant southern panoramas with an almost alpine feel.
How to reach the summitThe name 'Pisana' comes from a highlander word for land surveying — this area was once carefully measured and recorded, giving an ordinary meadow a surprisingly layered history.
