Paraska (1,268 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak lying entirely within Lviv Oblast — a rewarding summit in the Skolivski Beskydy range of the Ukrainian Carpathians, crowned with a cross and steeped in Kyivan Rus legend. If you are looking for a genuine Carpathian hiking experience without the crowds, this is your mountain.

The peak rises just 8 km northwest of the town of Skole, inside the Skolivski Beskydy National Nature Park. Its slopes are blanketed in dense spruce and fir forests broken by pockets of beech and birch — cool and fragrant in summer, spectacularly colourful in autumn. On a clear day the summit offers views stretching to the cities of Stryi and Mykolaiv, and reportedly as far as Lviv, some 90 km away. A memorial stone is placed on the slope, and a cross marks the very top.

• Skole (town) — marked hiking trail towards the village of Majdan; the full Skole–Paraska–Majdan route covers 28 km in total; the summit is reachable as a day hike or as part of a longer traverse; difficulty: moderate.

• The summit is within the Skolivski Beskydy National Nature Park — respect the park's visitor regulations.
• The Velyka Richka river rises at the foot of Paraska; the well-known Hurkalo waterfall on this river makes an excellent addition to your itinerary.
• The slopes host numerous rare plant species listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

Legend has it that the mountain was named after Paraska, daughter of Prince Sviatoslav of Kyivan Rus, who was killed here in 1015 — a story that gives this quiet peak an unexpectedly powerful sense of history.
