Paličník (944 m a.s.l.) is a striking rocky summit in the Jizera Mountains of northern Bohemia, Czech Republic. A wooden cross, stone steps carved into the rock, and a railing-protected viewing platform welcome every visitor who makes the easy hike up to the top.

The peak itself is a dramatic rock outcrop perched on the western spur of Klínový vrch (972 m a.s.l.). From the viewing platform, the panorama is genuinely rewarding: you look out over the valley of the Smědá river and spot the major peaks of the Jizera Mountains — Jizera directly opposite, the neighbouring Tišina, and the rugged rocky ridges of Frýdlantské cimbuří and Ořešník. The area feels wild and authentic in every season — lush and green in summer, magical with frost and snow in winter.

• Bílý Potok (upper part of the village, near the Bártlova bouda restaurant) — yellow trail along the Hájenec stream valley, easy to moderate difficulty
• Šindelový důl — green trail up to the Předěl trail junction, then along the slopes of Klínový vrch to Paličník

• The rocks at Paličník and in its immediate surroundings form a notable climbing area with dozens of routes of varying difficulty, open to climbers year-round.
• The summit viewing platform is secured with a railing, making it safe and accessible for families with children.

Interestingly, the name 'Paličník' is sometimes used to refer to the entire Klínový vrch massif — so do not be surprised if locals use both names when pointing you in the right direction.
