Owczarka is a modest, fully forested peak in the Karkonosze Mountains, tucked away on a side ridge of the Lasocki Grzbiet. It's a spot for hikers who value quiet woodland trails over dramatic vistas.

The western slopes drop steeply toward the Srebrnik valley, while the eastern side descends gently toward the village of Opawa. The summit is built from metamorphic rocks — mostly gneiss and amphibolite — typical of the eastern cover of the Karkonosze granite massif. Thick forest accompanies you the whole way up, offering cool shade in summer and a peaceful, almost secluded mood in autumn and winter.

How to reach the summit

• From Opawa — starting near the last houses of the village, gentle terrain, easy route
• From Kopina — along the ridge of Lasocki Grzbiet, combining both peaks in one hike

• Between Owczarka and Pańska Góra stand two amphibolite rock formations known as the Golden Gate (Złota Brama)
• Nearby, closer to Pańska Góra, you'll find the Kolebki rocks made of Lower Carboniferous conglomerate
