Niżni Żabi Szczyt (2098 m a.s.l.) is a striking peak rising directly above the famous Morskie Oko lake in the High Tatras — one of those summits whose silhouette you will recognise long before you reach it. Its dramatic northern rock face, plunging nearly 70 metres, gives the peak a distinctive profile that stands out clearly from the trail between Włosienica and Morskie Oko.

The peak sits along Żabia Grań, a lateral ridge of the High Tatras that marks the Polish-Slovak border, separating the Rybi Potok Valley on the Polish side from the Białá Voda Valley on the Slovak side. To the south lies Żabi Mnich (2146 m), to the north Żabia Czuba (2080 m). The summit ridge is almost perfectly flat, stretching around 100 metres, with a concrete border marker at its southern end. The eastern slopes are gentle and grassy, while the western faces drop in steep rock walls up to 150 m high. In autumn, the contrast between golden dwarf pine and bare rock makes the whole ridge look spectacular from below.

• There are no marked tourist trails to this peak. The ridge is closed to both tourists and climbers on both the Polish and Slovak sides. Historically, the most accessible route led via Owczy Żleb couloir from Morskie Oko to Owcza Przełęcz saddle (2038 m).

• The entire Żabia Grań area is off-limits — access is prohibited by both the Tatra National Park (Poland) and its Slovak counterpart.
• A concrete border marker stands at the southern end of the flat summit ridge.
• The northwest and southwest rock faces feature numerous climbing routes, but access requires special permits.

Just a few dozen metres south of the summit, the jagged 'Apostles Ridge' branches off westward from Żabia Grań — officially named after the Twelve Apostles, though it actually counts only seven towers, all clearly visible from the Morskie Oko road.
