Niedźwiedzi Zakątek is a modest but distinctive peak in the Owl Mountains, easily recognized by its flat, dome-shaped summit visible from afar. This is a spot for those who crave quiet trails and a landscape steeped in history rather than crowded, paved paths.

The hill has a gentle eastern slope, while the remaining sides are noticeably steeper, making the approach interesting without requiring special preparation. Most of the area is covered with meadows and farmland, while only the summit itself is crowned by a small spruce forest mixed with other tree species. In spring and summer the surrounding meadows create a picturesque contrast with the dark green forest on top, while in autumn and winter the rugged character of the terrain echoes the mysterious past of these mountains. From here you can look out toward the neighboring Osówka hill and the Sierpnica valley.

• Sierpnica — approach from the village side, time and difficulty depend on the chosen route, moderately demanding due to steep slopes
• Kolce — alternative starting point on the other side of the ridge

• Part of the north-eastern slope below the summit lies within the Owl Mountains Landscape Park, while the rest of the hill is outside its boundaries
• The peak marks the end of a side ridge of the Włodarz Massif, making it a good addition to a hike toward Osówka

Because of its location within the Włodarz Massif, Niedźwiedzi Zakątek was kept under strict secrecy by the Third Reich during World War II, in connection with the construction of the secret military complex codenamed 'Riese'. This history gives an unusual, dark backdrop to what is today a peaceful and quiet place.
