Mietłówka is a modest yet charming summit in the western part of the Gubałówka Range, perfect for those seeking peace away from the Tatra crowds. Here, open meadows stretch beneath sweeping Tatra views, and the silence is broken only by the murmur of mountain streams.

The area around Mietłówka is a patchwork of forests and open glades - Kojsówka, Płazówka, Długa Polana, Ciepłówka, Kierpcówka and Dziedzicówka - giving the region a distinctly pastoral, open character. The slopes descending toward the Czarny Dunajec Valley are cut by several streams, the largest of which, Wielki Głęboki Potok, carves a deep valley between Mietłówka and the neighboring Palenica Kościeliska. In summer it's a paradise for gentle meadow walks, in autumn the foothill colors are stunning, and in winter the glades attract cross-country skiers.

How to get to the summit

• Witów — trail crossing the glades, approx. 1.5-2 hours, easy route, suitable for families with children
• Approach possible from the Czarny Dunajec Valley, combining the route with the neighboring Płazowski Wierch

The peak's name is sometimes also spelled Miętlówka, and its gentle, open slopes have served local farmers from Witów as pastures and hay meadows for generations.
