Mały Ciemniak is a modest but charming summit in the Izera Mountains, perfect for hikers who want a peaceful walk away from the crowds. It's an easy escape into nature, offering quiet forest trails and a genuine sense of calm.

The peak rises from a side ridge branching off Ciemniak, at the eastern end of the Kamienicki Ridge. Built from gneiss and granite-gneiss, it reflects the typical gentle, forested landscape of the Izera Mountains. In summer the wooded paths offer cool shade, in autumn the surrounding hills glow with color, and in winter snow transforms the forest into a hushed, wintry world. This is a spot for those who value a tranquil hike over dramatic panoramas.

How to reach the summit

• Górzyniec — approach from the village, approx. 1-1.5 hours, easy trail
• Pakoszów — alternative approach from the eastern side, similar duration, easy trail

Mały Ciemniak may not be the most famous peak of the Western Sudetes, but its low-key character is exactly what makes it a lovely, unhurried destination in the Izera Mountains.
