Malchor (1,220 m a.s.l.) is the kind of summit that rewards curiosity rather than comfort — a forested, off-trail peak tucked just 1 km north of the famous Lysá hora in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. If you enjoy going slightly beyond the marked path to claim a summit all to yourself, this one is for you.

The actual top sits in dense woodland next to a geodetic marker, with no marked or unmarked trail leading directly to it. The western slopes fall within the Malenovický kotel nature reserve, keeping the surroundings beautifully wild. In autumn the forest glows with colour, in winter it becomes a hushed, snow-covered retreat — each season gives this quiet peak a different mood.

• Saddle between Malchor and Lysá hora (trail junction) — yellow trail runs along the eastern side of the peak; from its highest point the summit is roughly 50 m to the west across open terrain — easy to moderate
• Blue trail loops around the western side but stays further from the top

About 1.5 km to the northwest, in the saddle between Malchor and Kykulka, stands the Ivančena burial mound — a memorial to scouts who were executed during World War II. It is a moving place well worth a short detour on your way.
