Maciejowa (836 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the Gorce range that punches well above its weight when it comes to views. Sitting along the long ridge running westward from Turbacz toward Rabka-Zdrój, it offers open alpine meadows and sweeping vistas that make it a favourite among both casual walkers and long-distance hikers.

The open northern slopes — known as the Maciejowa clearing — frame a wide panorama taking in Babia Góra, the Pasmo Policy range and the Beskid Makowski hills. In winter the snow-dusted ridge and fog-filled valleys create a dramatic scene; in summer the beech forest on the flanks offers welcome shade. Just east of the summit the Przysłop clearing opens up, home to the PTTK mountain shelter — a handy stop for refreshments or an overnight stay.

• From Turbacz — red trail (the Kazimierz Sosnowski Main Beskid Trail), full section to Rabka-Zdrój: 16.7 km, 970 m of ascent, approx. 5 h 35 min walking time

• The PTTK shelter on Maciejowa (located on the nearby Przysłop summit) offers accommodation and meals — worth booking ahead in peak season.
• A ski lift system operates on the northern slope, with the longest lift reaching close to the top — expect more visitors in winter.
• Maciejowa lies outside the Gorce National Park boundaries, within the administrative area of Rabka-Zdrój.

The red-marked Main Beskid Trail — one of Poland's longest waymarked mountain routes — passes right over the summit, making Maciejowa a natural waypoint on any end-to-end Beskidy adventure.
