Łużec (1055 m a.s.l.) is a quiet peak in the western part of the Wysoki Grzbiet ridge in the Jizera Mountains, sitting just east of Stóg Izerski. If you are looking for a genuine wilderness feel in the Sudetes without the tourist crowds, this is your kind of place.

The slopes around Łużec are draped in the dense coniferous forests typical of the Jizera Mountains, giving the area a raw, untouched character. In spring and summer the forest is lush and green, autumn transforms it into a tapestry of warm colours, and a fresh layer of winter snow makes the ridge trails feel wonderfully remote. The peak itself is built from ancient Precambrian gneisses belonging to the Izera metamorphic complex — rocks that have been here for hundreds of millions of years and give the mountain its quiet, enduring presence.
