Liščí hora (1,363 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding peak in the central Krkonoše mountains, tucked between the resort town of Pec pod Sněžkou and the iconic Sněžka summit. A short detour from the main ridge trail brings you to a viewpoint offering one of the finest panoramas of Sněžka and Studniční hora you will find anywhere in the range.

The summit itself is draped in dwarf pine, while lower slopes give way to spruce forests and broad clearings. The meadow enclave of Liščí louka on the southeastern flank adds an open, pastoral feel to the landscape. The northeastern and southwestern slopes drop steeply — the northeastern face even harbours an avalanche slope, so winter visitors should take note. The entire area falls within Krkonoše National Park, keeping the surroundings beautifully wild in every season.

• Pec pod Sněžkou — green trail up the northeastern slope towards Špindlerův Mlýn, moderate difficulty
• Lučiny — green trail no. 4208 along the southwestern slope to Dvorská bouda (approx. 1,150 m a.s.l.), moderate difficulty
• Černá hora — red ridge trail no. 0407 heading towards Luční bouda, hikers only

• Located inside Krkonoše National Park — cycling and motor vehicles permitted only on access roads to the mountain huts at Liščí louka
• Two large mountain huts operate at Liščí louka: Lyžařská bouda and Prvosenka
• About 700 m northeast of the huts, at Hnědý vrch, you will find the upper cable car station from Pec, an observation tower and the top of a ski run
• In winter, be aware of the avalanche slope on the northeastern face

The stream Čistá, which rises on the southeastern slope of Liščí hora, is a left-bank tributary of the Elbe — meaning these mountain waters eventually reach the North Sea. The German name for the peak, Fuchsberg, simply means 'Fox Hill', a fitting name for this quietly wild corner of the Krkonoše.
