Krúpova hoľa (1,922 m a.s.l.) is one of the finest viewpoints in the Low Tatras – a rocky, alpine ridge in the highest part of the range that offers a sweeping 360-degree panorama across Slovakia. It also sits at a key trail junction: this is the only place where you can branch off towards Ďumbier, the highest peak in the Low Tatras.

The summit lies on the main ridge between Konské to the west and Ďumbier to the east, right on the border of the Žilina and Banská Bystrica regions. The landscape here feels genuinely high-alpine: granite rock, open alpine meadows and steep cliffs dropping into the glacial cirque of Bystrá Valley to the northeast. On a clear day you can spot the High Tatras, Malá Fatra, Chočské vrchy and even the Beskids. In winter the ridge can be icy, but the nearby cable car to Chopok keeps the area accessible year-round.

• Krúpova hoľa is the only point from which a marked trail branches off to Ďumbier (2,046 m), the highest peak in the Low Tatras.
