Kozubová (982 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the easternmost part of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids, just 7 km west of Jablunkov — and it punches well above its weight when it comes to character. A stone chapel doubling as a lookout tower and a cosy mountain hut make this a genuinely special destination rather than just another forest walk.

The hillsides are blanketed mostly in spruce, with patches of beech and maple adding warm colour in autumn. The atmosphere is peaceful and unhurried throughout the year, and the summit rewards you with a sweeping panorama across the Czech-Polish-Slovak border country — the view northward and eastward from the chapel gallery is truly memorable.

• A stone tourist hut built in 1989 stands at the summit — check opening hours before setting out.
• The Chapel of St. Anne (built 1936–1937) features an 18-metre tower that serves as a public lookout — access to the viewing gallery is available.

The origin of the name 'Kozubová' is delightfully debated — one theory links it to the Slovak word 'kozub' meaning 'hearth' or 'fireplace', hinting at the fires once lit by shepherds driving their flocks across these slopes centuries ago.
