Koskowa Góra (867 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the Koskowa Góra range in the Maków Beskids — a quietly rewarding summit that offers something genuinely rare: a broad, open, largely treeless top with a full 360-degree panorama. If you are looking for an unhurried mountain experience off the beaten path, this is a great pick.

The summit dome is wide and gentle, once covered in farmland, now slowly transitioning from meadows back to forest. Grass-covered stone heaps scattered across the slopes are the last traces of generations of farmers clearing the land. On a clear autumn day you can spot the Tatra Mountains and Babia Góra on the horizon; in summer the meadows are in full bloom; in winter a blanket of snow turns the whole ridge into a silent, atmospheric escape. On the northern slope you can still make out the zigzagging trenches dug by German forces in 1944 — a quiet, sobering reminder of the fighting that took place here on 28 January 1945.

• Three telecommunication repeaters operate on the summit, including amateur radio repeater SR9P/SR9PC (2 m / 70 cm bands) and DMR repeater SR9UVT
• A stone wayside chapel dating from around 1910 stands on the Łazy saddle between Koskowa Góra and Parszywka — well worth a short detour

According to local legend, the sculpture of Christ inside the chapel was originally destined for the famous Kalwaria Zebrzydowska sanctuary — but the oxen carrying it stopped here and refused to move, which was taken as a divine sign, and the chapel was built on that very spot.
