Korbania (894 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the Western Bieszczady Mountains, tucked within the Łopiennik and Durna Ridge. It punches well above its weight — a relatively easy climb that delivers a sweeping panorama and an authentic taste of this wild, forested corner of southeastern Poland.

Most of the mountain's slopes are cloaked in dense forest, adding a sense of wilderness to every approach. The summit itself opens up into a fine viewpoint, enhanced since September 2014 by a wooden observation tower that lifts you above the treetops for far-reaching views across the surrounding ridges. Next to it stands an old concrete surveying tripod, a quiet relic of past cartographic work. The northern boundary of the Ciśniańsko-Wetlińskie Landscape Park runs right across the summit, marking Korbania as a gateway between protected highland landscapes.

The forested southwestern slopes of Korbania once held the village of Tyskowa — one of many Bieszczady settlements that vanished after the forced deportations of the mid-20th century, leaving only silence and slowly reclaiming woodland behind.
