Kopieniec (1080 m) is one of the quieter summits of the Gorce Mountains, tucked along the ridge running north from Turbacz. If you're after peaceful forest trails away from the crowds, this is exactly the kind of place worth seeking out.

The peak is covered in ancient woodland, home to remarkably old beech trees, and lies entirely within Gorce National Park — once part of the 'Turbacz' nature reserve. Its eastern slopes drop into the Rostoka stream valley, while the western side descends toward the Turbacz stream valley, giving hikers a real sense of deep forest isolation. On the southern side once stood the Limierze clearing, where charcoal was burned for the glassworks operating in the region below the Gorce range — a place tied to a dark local legend.
