Kopczyk is a small, peaceful peak in the Karkonosze Mountains, perfect for hikers who want to escape the crowds of the main trails. It sits within the Lasocki Ridge and, while not among the region's tallest summits, has its own quiet charm.

The peak rises along a minor, not particularly distinct side ridge branching eastward from Kopina, between the Opawa valley to the north and the Ostrężnik valley to the south. The area is built of metamorphic rocks from the eastern cover of the Karkonosze granite — mainly greenschists with layers of crystalline limestone (marble), giving the landscape an interesting geological character. On the northwestern slope you'll find small rock formations, and just west of the summit lie the remains of an old lime kiln — a quiet reminder of past human activity in these mountains. This is a spot for those who enjoy hiking in tranquility, surrounded by forest and history woven into the terrain.

How to get to the summit

• From the Niedamirów area — approach from the south, time and difficulty depend on the chosen route, moderately demanding terrain
• From the Opawa area — approach from the north, via the Opawa valley

• West of the summit lie the remains of an old lime kiln — worth a short stop to explore
• On the northwestern slope there are small rock formations known as 'co góra'

Kopczyk is one of those Sudeten peaks that doesn't draw crowds but rewards patient hikers with silence, geological history written in stone, and a hint of the region's old lime-burning industry hidden in the forest.
