Kopa (1,377 m a.s.l.) is the easiest and most accessible gateway to Śnieżka — the highest peak of the Karkonosze Mountains — from the Polish side. Sitting at the eastern end of the Silesian Ridge, this granite summit welcomes hikers, skiers, and families alike.

Kopa is a modest rise on the broad plateau of Równia pod Śnieżką, built entirely of Karkonosze granite. The open, sub-alpine terrain offers wide views across the surrounding mountains. In winter, the summit is a busy hub of the Karpacz Ski Arena ski resort, with several downhill runs starting right here. In summer and autumn the atmosphere is far more peaceful, and the summit serves as a natural launching pad for the walk towards Śnieżka.
