Kobylarzowa Turnia is a broad limestone tower tucked away in the Miętusia Valley, one of those Tatra spots that skips the crowds and keeps its wild, rugged character intact. If you're after real, untamed rock, this is the place.

The tower rises from the rocky wall separating the Wodniściak gully from Kobylarzowy Zachód, forming — together with the neighboring Zagonna Turnia — an impressive, if discontinuous, rock barrier. On the Wodniściak side it drops in near-vertical walls reaching up to 140 meters, a sight that impresses even seasoned hikers. On the Kobylarzowy Zachód side the walls are much gentler. It's precisely here, in the steep gully separating the tower from the rest of the ridge, that you'll find the only passage allowing descent from Kobylarzowy Zachód into Wodniściak — a genuinely distinctive feature of the whole Czerwone Wierchy massif. The rocks also hide a couple of small caves: Nisza w Kobylarzowej Turni and Dziura nad Szlakiem, adding a touch of mystery to the place.

This is one of the few places in the Tatras where you can spot the yellowish oxytropis — a rare plant found in Poland only in the Tatras, and only in a handful of locations. A real treat for lovers of Tatra flora.
