Kamionna (801 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of a three-summit massif in the Beskid Wyspowy range of the Polish Carpathians — a rewarding destination that combines forest scenery, natural reserves, traces of old highland settlements, and on a clear day, a sweeping panorama stretching all the way to the Tatra Mountains. A new observation tower opened on the summit in 2023, making it even more worth the climb.

The northern slopes are steep and densely forested, protected as a nature reserve preserving natural Carpathian beech and fir forest communities. The southern slopes are gentler and more open. The ridge walk westward toward Pasierbiecka Góra (764 m) is a pleasant forest trail that passes a small peat bog — all that remains of a former pond that once gave the mountain its old name 'Jeziernik' (Lake Peak). Just below the summit on the western side, a small forest clearing dotted with fruit trees and a horse chestnut hints at a long-abandoned farmstead. From the saddle before Pasierbiecka Góra, you can enjoy fine views of the Beskid Sądecki, Gorce and Tatra ranges.

• Tymbark via Pasierbiecka Góra — blue trail, approx. 2 h 30 min up, 370 m ascent, moderate
• Rajbrot via Łopusze and Widoma Pass — blue trail, approx. 4 h up, 790 m ascent, demanding

• The Laskowa-Kamionna Ski Resort on the eastern slope has a chairlift and three drag lifts — useful in winter for reaching higher elevations.
• An observation tower on the summit has been open since 2023.
• A blue cycling route also runs along the main ridge.

The mountain was historically known by three other names: Makowica, Jeziernik, and Patria — the last one referring to a wooden triangulation tower that local Carpathian communities traditionally called a 'patria'.
