Kamieńczyk (721 m a.s.l.) is a gentle, dome-shaped summit in the southern Bystrzyckie Mountains, closing off this range from the south. What makes it truly special is its double role as both a Polish-Czech border crossing point and a European watershed dividing the Baltic and North Sea drainage basins.

The summit is wide and almost flat, rising only slightly above the surrounding plateau — giving the whole place a calm, unhurried feel. The Polish side is open, with meadows and fallow farmland stretching around the hill, while the Czech slopes are draped in lower montane spruce forest. In summer it is a breezy, easy walk through green pastures; in autumn the mist rolling over the border ridge gives it a quietly atmospheric edge.

• The Polish-Czech state border runs directly across the summit. A tourist border crossing point (Kamieńczyk–Mladkov Petrovický) is located at the foot of the north-western slope, allowing hikers to cross into the Czech Republic.
• A deep anti-smuggling trench dug in the 1990s runs along the border line and is still visible — an unusual feature of this trail.

Kamieńczyk sits on the green border trail that continues via Trójmorski Wierch all the way to Śnieżnik, making it a natural waypoint on a longer Sudeten traverse.
