Jeřáb (1,003 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the Hanušovice Highlands and its only summit exceeding 1,000 metres — a quiet, forested retreat where history, geography and nature converge in a surprisingly compact space. The historical border between Bohemia and Moravia, the modern administrative boundary between Pardubice and Olomouc regions, and the main European watershed between the Elbe and Danube river systems all meet right here on the ridge.

The summit itself is cloaked in spruce forest with occasional clearings that offer partial views. The real highlight is a wooden viewing platform about 500 m to the northeast, set on a ridge meadow, from which you get a sweeping panorama of the entire Králický Sněžník massif. The forest keeps things pleasantly cool in summer, vivid in autumn colours, and the area transforms into a cross-country skiing zone in winter.

• Králíky — yellow trail to the source of the Tichá Orlice river, then blue trail all the way to the summit, approx. 6 km total, moderate difficulty.
• Svatá Trojice junction — blue trail, approx. 2.5 km, moderate difficulty.
• Šanov — blue trail through the village, turn right onto a field track approx. 200 m past the last houses, follow the KČT winter ski route after approx. 700 m, continue approx. 2.5 km to the Hedeč–Svatá Trojice junction, then a steep 1 km climb to the summit.

• The wooden viewing platform is located approx. 500 m northeast of the summit on the ridge clearing — do not skip it.
• The southwest slope falls within the Jeřáb Nature Park, which also includes Křížová hora above the village of Červená Voda.
• In winter the forest tracks are part of the KČT cross-country ski network.

There is a near-namesake peak — also called Jeřáb, with the same old German name 'Ebereschberg' — located about 8.5 km to the southwest, already in the Orlické hory range, so make sure you are heading to the right one.
