Jeleniec (902 m a.s.l.) is a distinctive cone-shaped peak in the Suche Mountains (Góry Suche), part of the Central Sudetes in south-western Poland. With its steep slopes and a well-defined summit, it stands out in the landscape near the village of Rybnica Leśna — and three hiking trails crossing its flanks make it a rewarding stop on any Sudeten adventure.

The mountain is entirely covered by lower montane spruce forest, which gives it a quiet, secluded feel in every season — cool shade in summer and a hushed, wintry atmosphere when snow settles among the trees. What makes Jeleniec geologically interesting is its composition: the peak is built from Permian porphyries (trachybasalts), and on the north-eastern slope, along the trail toward Rogowiec, you can spot a fine group of rock formations — a lovely surprise tucked into the spruce woodland. The whole area falls within the Wałbrzych Sudetes Landscape Park.

The rocks forming Jeleniec belong to the northern wing of the Intra-Sudetic Basin — a reminder of ancient volcanic activity in this region, now visible as scenic rocky outcrops on the hillside.
