Jeleni Grzbiet is a side ridge branching off the main crest that separates Dolina Białego from Dolina Strążyska in the Western Tatras. It's a wilder, quieter corner of the Tatras, perfect for those who enjoy rugged rock formations and untouched mountain scenery.

The ridge descends westward into Dolina Strążyska, being the southernmost of several western branches of the main crest. It begins at Sucha Czubka and ends at Wielka Roń, in the upper part of Dolina Strążyska. On its southern side lies the Banie gully, beneath the walls of Długi Giewont, while on the northern side runs Jeleni Żleb. The ridge is dotted with numerous sharp rocky towers, with dwarf mountain pine growing between them and dense forest lower down. It's a wild, secluded landscape, especially beautiful in autumn when the pine and forest colors change.

• Dolina Białego — approach from the dividing ridge between the two valleys, a demanding route requiring good knowledge of the terrain

• The area is rich in deer and roe deer, which is likely the origin of the names Jeleni Grzbiet, Jeleni Żleb, Sarni Grzbiet, Sarnia Skała, and Sarni Żleb

It was in this very area, based on feeding tracks, that a rare case was observed of a bear successfully hunting a deer by cornering it among the rocks.
