Jaworowe Skałki is a rocky ridge in the Slovak Western Tatras, a place known mainly to experienced mountaineers rather than casual hikers - there is no marked trail leading here. It's a spot for those seeking the wilder, quieter side of the Tatras.

The formation closes off, from the south, the short Jaworowy Ridge running from Suchy Wierch Kondracki towards the Cicha Valley. A glacier that once filled the valley cut into the ridge from the south, carving a steep rock wall. Within the rocks there are two small caves - one about 6 meters long and 3 meters wide, and a smaller one situated higher up. In winter, this is the only safe route free from avalanche danger connecting the Cicha Valley with the main ridge of the Western Tatras, running through Jaworowe Skałki and the Jaworowy Ridge.

How to reach the summit

• No marked hiking trail - access is limited to experienced mountaineers travelling off-trail from the Cicha Valley
• In winter, via the Jaworowy Ridge - used as the only avalanche-safe passage to the main ridge

The name comes from the Polana pod Jaworem meadow, which the rocks rise above - older guidebooks also refer to it as Turnia nad Jaworem or simply Jawor.
