Javor is a quiet, forested peak in the Krkonoše Mountains, tucked between Pec pod Sněžkou and Velká Úpa. Don't expect sweeping views here — this summit is all about dense spruce forest and peaceful, uncrowded trails, making it a lovely escape for those wanting a calmer alternative to the busier peaks nearby.

The terrain around Javor is quite varied: the northern slopes drop steeply toward the Úpa valley, while the eastern side falls even more sharply into Javoří důl, scattered with rocks and scree. The western slope, by contrast, is gentle and merges into a shallow saddle connecting to Slatinná stráň, home to summer meadows and the Javor I and Javor II ski lifts in winter. On the northwestern slope lies Úpská Samota, a charming little meadow with a cottage and a ski tow.

• Pec pod Sněžkou — follow the yellow-marked road toward Kolínská bouda, about 1.5 km to the saddle by Slatinná stráň, then a forest path roughly 250 m to the summit — easy route, around 40-50 minutes

• The peak lies within Zone III of the Krkonoše National Park (KRNAP), so access is unrestricted
• The summit is fully forested with no views — don't expect panoramas
• The Pec pod Sněžkou ski resort operates nearby, with the Javor I and II lifts
