Janský vrch (697 m a.s.l.) is the highest Polish summit of the Jestřebí hory (Hawk Mountains) in the Central Sudetes — a peaceful, forested hill where the Polish-Czech border bends northwest and the views stretch far beyond the treeline. If you enjoy quiet trails, interesting rock formations and uncrowded viewpoints, this is a gem worth finding.

The summit and ridge are scattered with sandstone and conglomerate outcrops formed during the Upper Carboniferous period, giving the landscape a rugged, textured feel. The northeastern slopes are covered in spruce forest, while the southwestern side across the Czech border opens up more freely. From the summit viewpoint you can enjoy a fine panorama taking in the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains), the Broumov Highlands and the Zawory ridge.

• Okrzeszyn village (approx. 2.5 km to the northeast) — green trail (part of the Border Trail from Mieroszowskie Ściany to Okraj Pass) — easy to moderate
• From the Czech side: Bernatice or Petřikovice — yellow trail — easy

• The Polish-Czech state border runs directly across the summit — the green trail follows the border ridge.
• The summit serves as a viewpoint with panoramas of the Krkonoše, Broumov Highlands and Zawory.
• A tourist border crossing between Okrzeszyn and Petřikovice was located southeast of the massif.

Janský vrch is sometimes mistakenly grouped with the Góry Kamienne (Stone Mountains), but its geology and landform set it clearly apart — a small but rewarding corner of the Sudetes waiting to be discovered.
