Graniczny Wierch (713 m a.s.l.) is a fascinating little summit where a single step takes you from Poland into the Czech Republic. Sitting in the southern part of the Bystrzyckie Mountains, this gently rounded hill rewards visitors with an open viewpoint and a stroll through lovely mountain meadows.

The summit rises only about 11 metres above the surrounding plateau, so reaching it feels more like a relaxed walk than a hike. The upper slopes are draped in spruce forest, while the lower flanks open up into meadows and farmland typical of this part of the Sudetes. From the viewpoint you can take in the Bystrzyckie Mountains, the Kłodzko Valley, Mount Śnieżnik, the town of Międzylesie, and the historic wooden church in nearby Kamieńczyk village. In summer the meadows glow green, and in autumn the warm colours of the grass and trees make for a wonderfully atmospheric scene.

• The Polish-Czech border runs directly across the summit — the southern slope is on Czech territory.
• The summit sits on the continental European watershed dividing the Baltic Sea and North Sea drainage basins.
• The green border trail continues further, connecting Lesica with Śnieżnik.

Standing on the top, you are literally on the continental divide — raindrops falling on one side of the ridge eventually reach the Baltic Sea, while those on the other side flow towards the North Sea.
