Góra Parkowa is a small but strikingly distinctive peak in the Rudawy Janowickie range, easily recognized thanks to its cone-like shape and steep slopes. It towers over the southern part of the village of Bukowiec and catches the eye from quite a distance.

This is a place with a unique atmosphere — the slopes and summit are covered in forest full of interesting deciduous tree species, some of which have been designated natural monuments. On the southern slope, just below the summit, an old park layout has survived, a remnant of 19th-century Romantic fashion, when the surrounding landscape was styled as a sentimental setting around the summer residence of the Prussian king. Today, only forest paths remain of the old promenade alleys, and the grown trees now block the views that once stretched toward neighboring mountains. Still, walking here has a distinctive, slightly mysterious charm, especially in autumn when the leaves turn golden, and in spring when the forest comes back to life.

It's worth knowing that Góra Parkowa was once part of a carefully designed Romantic landscape linked to the residence of Prussian King Frederick William III — today only the old trees and traces of former alleys hidden in the forest recall that history.
