Golców is a modest, standalone hill in the Beskid Wyspowy range that offers views far bigger than its height would suggest. It's the only summit in the entire Beskid Mountains from which you can see three towns at once — Limanowa, Stary Sącz and Nowy Sącz — which alone makes the short climb worthwhile.

The hill is mostly wooded, with some farmland patches, giving the landscape a calm, varied character. From the open areas just below the summit, a lovely panorama unfolds over the Łososina Range with peaks like Łysa Góra, Sałasz Wschodni and Jaworz, as well as Miejska Góra topped with its large cross. Looking east and south, you'll spot nearby hills: Kuklacz, Łyżka, Pępówka, Skiełek, Ostra and Cichoń. On the northern slopes lies War Cemetery No. 369, dating from World War I, where soldiers who died in the massive Battle of Limanowa in December 1914 are buried — remnants of trenches can still be found in the surrounding woods.
