Dubník (289 m a.s.l.) is a gentle, unassuming hill rising above the flat lowlands of the Borská nížina in the Záhorie region of western Slovakia. It won't challenge your legs, but it offers a pleasant escape into quiet countryside — with a surprisingly tall steel broadcasting tower as its landmark feature.

The hill sits in a peaceful agricultural and forested landscape typical of the Záhorie region. The terrain is easy and welcoming in every season — spring brings fresh greenery to the surrounding woods, while autumn colours make the walk particularly scenic. The 71-metre steel broadcasting tower just below the summit is hard to miss and gives Dubník a distinctive silhouette visible from afar across the flat plain.

• Borský Mikuláš (village, roadside parking) — road/path leading directly from the village toward the hill, easy difficulty.

• A radio and television broadcasting tower (71 m steel structure, completed 1977) stands just below the summit at 279 m a.s.l., serving the Záhorie region. Since April 2023 it also broadcasts DAB+ digital radio on channel 6D.

Dubník's transmitter is part of a regional broadcasting network linking it with the Kamzík and Veľká Javorina transmitters — a neat bit of infrastructure history tucked away on a quiet Slovak hilltop.
