Dolná roveň (950 m a.s.l.) is a forested peak in the northern part of Lúčanská Malá Fatra, rising above the village of Višňové about 9 km south-east of Žilina. It is a quiet, unhurried summit — the kind of place that rewards those who enjoy the journey through dense spruce woodland rather than a crowded viewpoint.

The hilltop is almost entirely covered by thick spruce forest, which keeps the atmosphere calm and sheltered throughout the year. Views open up only from small clearings, revealing the Žilina Basin and the wider Žilina area, and on clear days you can spot the peaks of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids — Kněhyně, Smrk and Lysá hora — across the border. The western slopes drain into Turská dolina via Turiansky potok, while the rest of the hill feeds into the Rosinka stream. In winter the nearby Holý diel ski slope adds a lively contrast to the otherwise peaceful woodland setting.

• There is no marked trail directly to the summit — access requires leaving the blue-marked trail that runs through Holý diel towards Minčol (1,364 m).
• Part of the approach passes through the Holý diel ski resort; in winter expect ski traffic on the slope section.

The name 'Dolná roveň' simply means 'Lower plateau' in Slovak, and it pairs naturally with its south-eastern neighbour Horná roveň ('Upper plateau', 997 m) — together they form a distinctive local landmark above Višňové.
