Danek is a modest yet charming hill in the western part of the Karkonosze Foothills, rising above Szklarska Poręba Górna and Marysin. It's a great pick for hikers who want a peaceful walk with views, away from the crowds heading to Śnieżka or Szrenica.

The slopes and summit area hide small granite outcrops, typical of the Karkonosze Mountains. The hill is covered in forest, offering pleasant shade in summer and vivid colors in autumn. The views aren't as dramatic as those from the main ridge, but the quiet, intimate atmosphere is exactly what draws lovers of gentle hikes. In winter, the surroundings can look wonderfully snowy, though the summit itself isn't a typical ski touring destination.
