Czarna Góra is a modest but charming peak of the Silesian Ridge in the Karkonosze Mountains, rising above the village of Bierutowice. It's a great pick for hikers looking for tranquility away from the crowds that usually flock to Śnieżka or Szrenica.

The summit sits on a side ridge branching off from Smogornia towards the northeast, built from the classic granite typical of the Karkonosze range. Along the ridge descending towards Bierutowice you'll come across the interesting Skalica rock formation, a nice highlight along the way. The surroundings have a cozy, forested character — soothing shade in summer, a blaze of color in autumn, and quiet, snow-dusted slopes in winter. It's a fine spot for an unhurried walk, away from the busiest tourist routes.

How to reach the summit

• Bierutowice — ascent via the side ridge of the Silesian Ridge, moderate difficulty
• Via the pass below Czoło (Przełęcz pod Czołem) — can be combined with a route to Czoło for a longer hike

Despite its modest elevation, Czarna Góra holds the charm of the Karkonosze's quieter trails — a great choice for lovers of peaceful, forested rambles.
