Clăbucetul Taurului — 'the bull's cap' — is a gentle, atmospheric peak in the Baiu Mountains, rising to 1,521 m near the resort town of Predeal. It's a great choice for hikers wanting wide-open pastures and easygoing trails without the crowds.

The mountain is known for its lush, rolling meadows that stretch across its slopes, grazed by livestock in summer and blanketed in snow come winter. The rounded ridgeline offers pleasant walking in every season, with views toward the Bucegi and Postăvarul massifs opening up along the way. Autumn brings golden grasses to the pastures, while spring covers them in wildflowers — a quietly rewarding destination whatever the month.

The mountain has an interesting past: in 1844 it was bought by Alecu Filipescu-Vulpea, then granted to Predeal Monastery, remaining church property until Romania's 1863 secularization of monastic estates, after which it eventually passed to the crown domains.
