Čipčie (920 m a.s.l.) punches well above its weight. Sitting just 9 km south of Žilina on the edge of the Lúčanská Malá Fatra range, this compact summit delivers sweeping views of the main ridge, the Rajec Basin and beyond — all from a welcoming bench that practically invites you to sit down and take it all in. A summit register waits at the top, ready for your signature.

The peak stands at the end of a long lateral ridge descending from Krížava (1457 m) through Skalka and Kobylie. Its position on the fringe of the range gives it a bold, imposing feel despite the modest elevation. The southern summit opens onto a mountain meadow with views stretching to the main Lúčanská Fatra ridge and the Turská valley, westward across the Rajec Basin to the Strážovské vrchy hills, and northward toward the Žilina uplands. Mixed forest covers most of the slopes, making the mountain equally appealing in spring, fiery autumn colour, or a crisp winter morning.
