Bujakowska Góra is the northernmost peak of the Magurka Wilkowicka Group in the Beskid Mały range — a quiet, forested summit that combines mountain scenery with the charm of a nearby reservoir. It's a great pick for hikers wanting a short but rewarding walk close to Lake Międzybrodzkie.

The peak, also known by its old local name Waliska (after the rock debris scattered across its slopes), is entirely covered in forest, offering pleasant shade in summer and colorful foliage in autumn. At the foot of the ridge, between Bujakowska Góra and Żar, stands the Porąbka Dam, with views opening onto the artificial reservoir below. In winter the slopes turn quiet and scenic, though the marked trails skirt around the very summit rather than crossing it.

How to reach the summit

• Kozy – Zasolnica – Porąbka Dam — hiking time: 2:10 h (2:20 h uphill), moderate difficulty
• Porąbka Dam – Zasolnica – Bujakowska Góra – Chrobacza Łąka (section of the Little Beskid Trail) — hiking time: 4:05 h (4:25 h uphill)

Practical information

• Both marked trails (red from the south, blue from the north) bypass the actual summit — reaching the top requires a short detour off the main path
• The Porąbka Dam area serves as the starting point for both route options

Fun fact: the name Waliska comes from the rocky rubble found on the mountain's slopes — remnants of old natural rockfalls now hidden beneath the forest undergrowth.
