Buczynowa Strażnica is a striking rock tower rising to 2242 m along the long ridge known as Kozi Mur. It's a destination for hikers seeking a true high-mountain adventure on the legendary Orla Perć — the most demanding trail in the Polish Tatras.

The peak sits near the Przełączka nad Dolinką Buczynową saddle, which separates it from the neighboring Czarne Ściany. Here, the long eastern ridge of Świnica turns north, while to the southeast Buczynowa Strażnica forms a short ridge descending toward the Valley of Five Polish Lakes. Toward Dolinka Buczynowa it drops in a sheer wall roughly 400 m high, cut through by the deep Komin Pokutników chimney, with striking overhangs in places — an impressive sight even from a distance. The landscape here is rugged and rocky, full of sharp ridgelines and deep gullies, and the atmosphere shifts dramatically with the seasons — summer brings dramatic plays of light and shadow on the rock, while winter and early spring turn the terrain treacherous with avalanche risk and ice.
