Bielec is a modest, forested peak in the Karkonosze Mountains hiding a genuine treat along its ridge – the scattered rock formations known as the Białe Skały (White Rocks), spread across roughly half a kilometer. They give this quiet summit its character and make a short detour well worth it.

The peak sits on a side ridge branching eastward from Łysocina, in the northern part of the Lasocki Ridge. The whole massif is wooded, so don't expect sweeping panoramic clearings – instead you get a peaceful walk among gneiss and amphibolite outcrops, atmospheric in autumn mist and especially striking in winter when the frosted rocks stand out against the trees. It's a calm, low-key route for hikers who prefer the quieter corners of the Karkonosze away from the crowds.

The name of the peak and its rocks comes from the pale color of the exposed gneiss outcrops, which stand out against the dark surrounding forest – the same feature gave the mountain its German name, Weißberg.
